COMMUNITY TRANSPORT SCHEMES SHARE £50,000

3 Town Community Bus
A dial-a-ride service in Peacehaven, Telscombe Cliffs and Newhaven are among a group of community transport schemes to win a slice of £50,000.

The County Council is giving a total of seven schemes across East Sussex a share of the money, to help support new and expanding community transport services. The aim is to ensure residents can get access to the services they need, such as employment, health and leisure, by using improved and more flexible public transport. This funding forms part of an ongoing commitment to improve access to services using public transport in East Sussex.  The service operates between 9am and 2.30pm Monday, Wednesday and Friday and will take you to and from anywhere within Peacehaven, Telscombe Cliffs, East Saltdean and Telscombe Village. The cost is £1.50 per journey but before you use the service you must first register.  Registration is free.  For further details pick up a leaflet from the Information Office, Meridian Centre or log onto to www.ctla.org.uk or call 01273 517332.

In addition to this great price for transport in and around the town, it has now been agreed that children under 12 years of age can travel for free in acompanied by an adult.
