Information Office
The Information Office provides help and advice mainly to the local community. We are reception for the Town Council and book appointments for the Citizens Advice and the Integration Access & Advice Group. Our main remit is to hire out our meeting rooms for functions ranging from Conferences to Flower Shows and offer information regarding other local interests.
Although we are not a registered tourist information centre we do, have a wide range of tourist information which includes Bed and Breakfast details for the whole of the UK and also pamphlets for local and London attractions. We take bookings for weddings and civil partnership marriages, and sell cinema tickets for the Peacehaven cinema and shows held in our theatre.
Although we do not work for Lewes District Council we offer a photo copy service only for those residents who claim council tax and housing benefits, from 10.00 am – 3.00pm Monday to Friday.
The information office has excellent communication with local groups, if you have recently moved to the area and wish to join an organisation we can pass your details on. We are happy to display posters and hand out flyers for any local forthcoming events.
Our residents are able to pick up forms to apply for their bus pass along with bus time tables.
We have an art corner in the office where we encourage local artists to display their work free of charge. Anyone who is interested please contact us on 01273 585493 Option 1.
Our work is varied and enjoyable and we are delighted to help the people in our community. For any new residents we can provide information for registration with a doctor, dentist, school or nursery. We also offer a photocopying and faxing service.
