Room Hire

Community House is situated by the Meridian Centre Shopping Centre in the heart of Peacehaven. With it’s central location and free parking, Community House is easily accessible by road or foot or from the Meridian Centre bus stop (bus 14). All areas are accessible for the disabled.

The Main Hall
The main hall is an adaptable venue for a variety of uses; parties, conferences, markets, exhibitions, sports activities, and much more. With a maximum capacity of up to 200 people, costs start from as little as £10.30 per hour, facilities that are available include:-

The Anzac Room
With it’s bright decor, this room is quite welcoming for almost any event. A dance floor is available to hire if you book the room for a small family gathering/party. This room is popular with local groups for meetings and activities including yoga, art, belly dancing, arts & crafts, AGM’s, and sing-a-longs. The room holds upto 80 people for meetings and 60 guests for celebrations /parties/wakes. Hires costs start from as little as £10.30 per hour midweek, up to £18.30 per hour during weekends. There is also a well presented kitchen attached for those who wish to cater for their functions.

The Robson & Fields Rooms
With a more quieter location these rooms are perfect for training courses and activities that require concentration for smaller groups. Both rooms hold up to 50 people there is a small kitchenette located in the Fields room which is available within the hire charge. The rooms can be split to make individual rooms at a cost from £5.00 per hour.

The Charles Neville Room
An excellent room for small meetings, training courses and foreign student teaching, which also has a interview room attached. A white board is located in the room with a option of hiring an OHP and flip charts. Fax and photocopying facilities are available from the Council Offices. Prices start from as little as £5.00 per hour.

Phoenix Room

Ideal for small meetings: to accommodate 6/8 people. Hire charges from £5.00 per hour.

Wedding Receptions

Look no further for your Wedding Reception venue. The Anzac Room can hold up to 70 guests, while the Main Hall has a capacity of up to 200 guest for your reception. With ample FREE parking and all on one level, Community House is the ideal location for your big day.

Annexe Room/Sports Pavilion

The Annexe Room is located in the grounds of Meridian School, North Roderick Avenue & the Sports Pavilion at Piddinghoe avenue. Both facilities are available to hire mainly for children’s parties, each venue comfortably accommodates 35 children. Prices range from £5.20/£13.00 per hour
